We are excited to announce our upcoming 2021/22 season with four exciting operas and Lawrence Brownlee in Concert! It’s been a long time since we have all gathered together in person and we are eager to see all of our subscribers and Seattle Opera fans again.

Your safety and comfort in returning to McCaw Hall is very important to us. We have a whole page dedicated to learning about COVID safety at Seattle Opera performances.  Please read it often as it will always have the latest news.

Four- and three-opera packages are now available to renewing 2020/21 subscribers. With our new pricing structure many seating areas have become more affordable, particularly on the Orchestra level. Current 2020/21 subscribers: Log in to start your renewal. You will have the option to renew as-is or request a change. All it takes is $20 down to renew when you select a payment plan!

New subscribers: New opera packages are not currently on sale. However, as we plan for our fall reopening and capacity restrictions are adjusted, tickets to Seattle Opera performances will become available. Please join our “First to See Opera” list and you’ll be the first to know when subscription packages or tickets become available.

  • Discounted artist recitals all season. 

  • Interest-Free Payment Plans are available for subscribers paying by credit card. All we need is $20 down to place your order, then you choose how to spread out the cost of your tickets until two weeks before your first performance.

  • Flexible cancellation through December 31, 2021.
  • Ticket Exchanges: Know in advance that you can't make a performance? Only subscribers may exchange their tickets, without fees, to another performance of the same opera. Simply contact us before 4:00 PM on your performance day (for Sunday matinee performances exchanges must be requested by 4:00 PM the previous day).*
  • Missed Performance Tickets: We understand that things come up last-minute. Season ticket holders who miss their performance unexpectedly may request free standby tickets to a later performance of the same opera, subject to availability.*
  • Free Lost Ticket Replacement: Subscribers who have lost their tickets may visit any sales window at the McCaw Hall Box Office to receive replacements free of charge.*
  • Additional Single Ticket Discounts: Subscribers receive an additional 10% discount off single ticket prices for the four mainstage productions in the 2021/22 Season.** Single tickets are not currently available but will go on sale to subscribers in late spring, ahead of the general public.
  • One-Time Seating Upgrade: Season ticket holders are invited to try out a different seat for free at a mainstage performance of their choosing. Upgrades are typically for one price level higher than your usual seats.*
  • One-Time Bring a Friend Discount: Use this extraordinary discount to share opera with a friend!* Subscribers have the opportunity to purchase up to two additional tickets for select performances at 40% off single ticket prices.**
  • Costume Preview Event: Enjoy an in-person look at costumes for one of the season's upcoming productions. See the extraordinary detail and craftsmanship that goes into every costume that graces the Seattle Opera mainstage.*

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be safety protocols in place for performances? 

Yes. The safety of our artists, staff, and you is our first priority. Safety protocols will follow public health guidelines for large venues in place at the time of your performance.  Masks will be required at all Seattle Opera performances next season regardless of vaccination status. For more information visit our Subscriber FAQs.

My schedule changes a lot. Should I still buy season tickets?

YES! Season ticket holders can exchange their tickets for any other performance of the same opera with no fees. Due to the COVID pandemic causing so many unknowns, we will not be offering early exchanges this season. Exchanges will start later in the summer or fall.

What if I need to cancel?

Due to the COVID pandemic, we will have a more flexible cancellation policy in place for subscribers until December 31, 2021. As a subscriber, you may cancel an opera in your package up to one week prior to your performance date and receive a  refund or have the value of the tickets held on your Seattle Opera account to use in the future. Seattle Opera will retain the $15 order fee. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing. No refunds will be issued after December 31, 2021.

How can I use the credit on my account?

Any credit that you have on your Seattle Opera account is available to use for your renewal or ticket purchase through May 31, 2022. This credit amount includes any tickets you requested to have held as a credit since the start of the COVID pandemic including the value of your Pagliacci/Cavalleria rusticana tickets from August 2020. Credits can be redeemed online, by phone, or by mail.

How do I use payment plans?

Convenient automatic payment plans allow you to spread your payments over several months, an option popular with our subscribers paying by credit card. It's flexible and free—no interest or additional service charges.

You can set up your interest-free payments when you order online or call Audience Services at 206.389.7676 from 10 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. At a minimum, your payment today must include the $20 down payment. Payment plans may only be set up using a credit or debit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We are only able to accept one credit card for this payment. The card must be valid through one month past the last scheduled payment. Your final payment must be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the start of the first opera in your season ticket package.

You may contact Audience Services at 206.389.7676 or to change the arrangements of your payment plan at any time as long as your final payment is scheduled at least two weeks prior to the start of the first opera in your subscription. With our convenient automatic payment plan, there is no need to call or send back an invoice to us; your card will automatically be charged on the days set up for the payment plan.

If you select a payment plan, your season tickets will be mailed after your final payment is made.

Can I buy season tickets for less than $250?

Absolutely! The past year has strengthened our long-held belief that opera is for everyone. To that end, we've reworked our price structure with many seating areas more affordable, particularly on the Orchestra main floor level. Four-opera packages start at $240! For the best prices check  our Wednesday and Friday series.

Under 40? Consider joining BRAVO!, our group for young professionals. Your $85 annual membership fee quickly pays for itself with season tickets at a 50% discount, free wine and coffee at intermission receptions, and invitations to parties all year. If you are renewing your BRAVO! subscription you will not be charged an annual membership fee for the 2021/22 season.

What if I request a seat or series change? When will I hear more?

If you request a seat or series change, you will receive a confirmation notice by email later in the summer which includes your new seating location.
Depending on your selection, payment in full or your first installment of your payment plan will be charged upon receipt of your order.
