Seattle Opera Chorus

The Seattle Opera Chorus is a part-time professional chorus. Each chorister is affiliated with the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA). Choristers should be able to physically perform basic stage direction. When possible, within the artistic parameters of a particular production, Management will make its best effort to make reasonable adjustments when requested. Such adjustments will be made solely at Management’s discretion.

Seattle Opera is seeking professional vocalists to participate in the upcoming bi-annual Open Chorus Auditions. Successful auditionees will be considered for positions on the Associate and Supplemental rosters. Rostered choristers may be called upon for any Seattle Opera production. Auditions will be adjudicated by Chorus Master Michaella Calzaretta. The deadline to apply is Monday, October 28, 2024 at 5:00 PM.

Youth Auditions

Seattle Opera is auditioning children for our upcoming 2025 productions of The Magic Flute and Tosca. We are seeking child soloists for The Magic Flute (paid position via Principal Artist AGMA contract) and youth chorus members for Tosca (volunteer position; parking and mileage reimbursement provided).

Appointments are required to audition; please no drop-in auditions without prior registration. The deadline to register for an audition is Friday, November 8, 2024 at 5:00 PM.
