The Next Ring at Seattle Opera

Seattle Opera has a long history of performing Wagner's Ring Cycle starting in 1975, with the most recent performances in August 2013.

Building a new production of the Ring is a significant financial commitment for any opera company and will require a substantial fundraising campaign to create and present an entire cycle. There is no current plan to produce another Ring in the near future. We do have a full season of operas every year for you to explore and enjoy at both McCaw Hall and the Opera Center.

A complete recording of our epic 2013 Ring Cycle is available for purchase at our online gift shop. This 14-CD boxed set includes a 54-page booklet featuring full-color production photos, essays, and artist biographies, as well as libretti of the four operas in the original German with English translations. Also makes a great gift, especially for the Wagner-lovers in your life.
