Recital: Black Excellence in Music

Enjoy a performance of spirituals, jazz, musical theater, and opera with cast members of Jubilee and The 5th Avenue Theatre production of After Midnight. This collaboration will feature the dazzling talents of Sarah Joyce Cooper, Darren Drone, Yusef Seevers, and Porscha Shaw accompanied by pianist Kyle P. Walker at several community venues, including The Opera Center and the Federal Way Library.

Yusef Seevers (he/they) is a recent transplant to Seattle and thrilled to be participating in this tour with the Seattle Opera. Sharing joy and love of music is truly what makes his heart and soul happy. He is a Detroit native who holds an MFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University and BFA in Musical Theatre from Santa Fe University.
