Face the Music is a weekly class where participants discover hidden and erased stories of Black American musical history. Co-facilitators from The Rhapsody Project present these stories and the songs at their heart as a jumping off point for discussions of racism and how to confront it in our spheres of influence.
With an emphasis on artists who were nonconformists, women, and people of the African diaspora, each week of this workshop and discussion group explores stories about American culture and artists.
Participants will deepen their knowledge of American history while forging new and lasting friendships. This class provides tools to create a more just and compassionate society and resources to help you continue the work.
