Since making his Seattle Opera debut in 2016, John Moore has been welcomed back to McCaw Hall in a variety of roles including Papageno in The Magic Flute (2017), Figaro in The Barber of Seville (2017), and the title roles of The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs (2019) and Eugene Onegin (2020).
He returns this season in the world premiere of A Thousand Splendid Suns (Rasheed) and has prepared a special program for a recital in the intimate Tagney Jones Hall, joined by pianist Tim Barrick.
John Moore has prepared a rich recital of pieces by celebrated composers, including Ralph Vaughan Williams' stirring song-cycle "Songs of Travel," pieces from French composer Henri Duparc, and selections for voice by Ludwig van Beethoven. Be sure to join us for this one-night-only performance and experience Moore's "smooth, suave high baritone and exceptionally handsome stage presence" (OperaWire).
All donors at the Donor Level ($50+) and above will be automatically added to the pre-show donor reception at 6:30 PM when they purchase recital tickets. Reception RSVP is helpful, but not required.
