Celebrate the musical legacy of the Fisk Jubilee Singers with a program of spirituals and gospel music performed by local ensembles including The Sound of the Northwest, Allen AME Church Mass Choir, and Lifted! Youth Gospel Choir. This musical tribute to the Jubilee Singers falls on the anniversary of the 1871 launch of their historic fundraising concert tour, and the date is commemorated annually at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, to this day.

Also joining us for this special homage to the Jubilee Singers will be local youth performing groups Acts on Stage, Speak With Purpose, and the Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center.
